March of Dimes Canada (MODC) is a national federally registered charity that is
highly regarded for its services. MODC provides two major services in the
area of assistive devices and accessibility. The Assistive Devices
Program in Ontario assists adults with physical disabilities who are
in financial need to purchase assistive devices that increase their mobility
and functional independence. In 2018-2019, MODC helped with funding for over 1700
individuals in Ontario. MODC also administers the Home and Vehicle
Modification Program (HVMP) on behalf of the Ministry of Children
Community and Social Services. Almost 900 people were provided with up to
$15,000 to modify their homes or vehicles in 2018-2019.
